    Forum Cash

If abused, the members will be kicked out and never awarded their cashback. But, if people are active and write a lot of great quality posts, I have no problem reimbursing them at least partially for their efforts :)

Referral and Posting Contests on Forums

I have done it 10 years ago (or more, don't know) with a webmaster forum I owned. It did get a flurry of activity and some of those members stuck. It was a pain to manage though, as many were posting junk replies to get the postcount needed. Overall, though, it was a good idea. Might try it in...

What Kind of Layout Do You like on Your Forum?

I like a fixed width usually, so that the rows are not going to stretch forever. Also, one sidebar (as I am trying to build here), for the same reason: not having the text row stretch 1,200 pixels, but less.

Dark Theme or Light Theme on Forums

Light theme always. Dark themes were interesting years ago, but then, when we delved more into usability, we realized it's actually not such a good idea to use them.

How can I outrank my competitors?

You will not outrank them anytime soon :) The YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) niches (medical plus finance) are extremely hard to rank in. You should focus on low-hanging fruits, keywords that have little search volume and build from there. Cluster them in topics and work your way to build a...

What is the Best Platform For Content Marketing For Healthcare Industry?

Your company blog 1500% of the times. An email list helps as well. Use social media to draw in new website visitors and promote your content. This way you have full control over your content and can have sustainable growth in time.

Facebook Ads vs Google Ads: Which One is Better

It depends on a per-case basis. I have clients who are doing great on Google Ads, while others have switched to Facebook Ads or even TikTok Ads (which I don't personally condone). I don't usually do paid advertising, so I cannot give you a straight answer, but most likely I'd allocate some...

Pros and Cons of Using WordPress

Well, at least 10 times :D Have tried all kinds of plugins, was ready to pay 300 bucks for Buddyboss and then realized I still have Xenforo licenses and it's always going to be my #1 choice. So 90 bucks later (renew a license and buy a theme), we have this one.

What is your favorite page builder for Wordpress?

He he, it's like we're twins :D I HATED Gutenberg so much myself, I always installed that plugin you mentioned. In the past 2 years though they have made HUGE progress in block building so I am not disabling it anymore.

What do you use AI tools for?

Hmm, interesting uses. In my case it's mainly asking questions based on my SEO briefs and slowly building highly optimized articles. AI is not ideal, but it does speed up the process.

Do you use AI to create social media content?

It's something I never used yet, although I saw some pretty nice videos that were AI generated (kinda scary actually). Maybe in a few weeks I'll start playing a little more with these options

AI generated image or stock images

Great question, Dominique ... I think it depends for me. Most of the times for blog posts I still stay away from AI generated, but there are times when they look better for what I need. For a tennis website of mine, I did use more AI images than usual for me.

    Canva Vs. Photoshop

I've done some pretty cool stuff with Canva and, when I don't really want to spend too much time with the layers in Photoshop, I'll create a template in Canva and then use it. Pretty strong tool.

    Photoshop V. GiMP

I still have an old Photoshop license, so I cannot comment on the new one. Was never able to make friends with GIMP (or Inkscape for that matter). At the end of the day, it all boils down to what you are comfortable using. If GIMP works for you, then you don't need premium tools, if you need...

Free vs. Paid Graphic Design Software

I still use Photoshop / Illustrator for some work, but Canva (even free) is pretty decent. I am considering trying some AI tools for images (have some ideas for tennis related artwork), but need to free up some time :D

    Are print ads still effective?

In my neck of the woods people are still reading a few prints (I personally ignore them, but I'm me). So maybe for a small community, they are still OK. I thought about promoting my business in print, but, honestly, I don't really think it's such a good option for me. With the money I'd pay for...

How can I create an effective billboard advertisement?

Keep it SHORT and clear. Don't write too much stuff on it, people are driving, they cannot read too much. Ideally get a catchy website name instead of numbers (unless a catchy one like 888-got-junk for instance). Otherwise it's easier for people to remember WebDesignNJ.com for instance than...

How important is networking in offline marketing?

I've had clients who got good traction from attending tradeshows. Seemed to work well in the finance niche. In my case, a lot of the business comes from referrals and, since I live in a pretty remote area, I never considered this type of marketing. To be honest, I am not really too excited about...
