How effective have the use of referral programs worked in bringing in active and loyal members to your community? From my experience, it's only once in a while referral programs brings in good results. The rest of the time, few people join but they don't stay long and go away.

Obviously yes, they work and very well, not to mention when you are an influencer or have a relatively well-known YouTube or TikTok channel, then it works and very well.

Yes, referral programs can still work for forums, especially if the community is active and the incentives are appealing, like exclusive badges, access to private groups, or small monetary rewards. The key is making the rewards feel valuable.

You can certainly build in activities and get new activities through referral program but the main issue is sustainability. The users who come to your forum through referral links usually do not stay longer on the forum.

I think that referral programs could still work if you have a really large referral network. This also includes having an incredibly large social media following. Not all the people have such a large social media following, so referral programs may not be suitable for all the people involved. A person must have at least 10K followers on each social media platform if they want to participate in referral programs.

It's possible, as long as you have a lot of traffic, the referral network will clearly work. The referral network works very well for content creators, it works very, very well for them, they usually earn a lot of money based on this, so clearly it must be taken into account.
