When it comes to Internet marketing, you might be overwhelmed by analytics dashboards as there are a lot of metrics to look at. What kind of metrics actually drive results. What do you focus on—reach, impressions, clicks, or engagement? How do you simplify data analysis.

It you have a conversion goal for visits to your site, it should be the most important metric to consider. It could be a purchase or sign up. One might also want look at the source of the traffic of the site. Is it from search engine or referrals so they can increase site marketing efforts in that direction?

The key metrics which matter most to me is the conversion rates and the return on ad spend (ROAS). This metrics affect my financial success and that is why I pay attention to it more.

The metrics you need to watch depends on your goal. If you are looking for sales, you need to see the clicks on your links and conversion rate. If you want to garner social signals you wil have to see how many likes, comments, share your post got.

The metrics I focus on most is the audience engagement indicators. This is the best for me because it let me focus on the time spent on site alongside bounce rate. I can easily access now my content is performing or if it's loved by my target audience.

Keeping track of bounce rate is very important that because the higher is the bounce rate, lower is the engagement and lower the bounce rate higher the engagement. More engagements means more money.

I pay attention to engagement and clicks because they show how people respond to my posts. To make it easier, I choose a few important numbers to check often and use simple charts.

I track metrics like conversion rate, ROI, and engagement (click-throughs, likes) to gauge marketing success. For my blog, I prioritize organic traffic and time-on-page to ensure content resonates and drives meaningful results.
