What Kind of Layout Do You like on Your Forum?

Do you like single column or multiple columns on your forum. If you are using multiple columns, how many columns do you like, 2 or 3? How about grid style instead of list style? What is your favorite layout for a forum?

I like a fixed width usually, so that the rows are not going to stretch forever. Also, one sidebar (as I am trying to build here), for the same reason: not having the text row stretch 1,200 pixels, but less.

I think two column design looks pretty good, this will help users jump into the discussions in the various categories right away as well as allow them to see the admin information, recent topics, recent posts, and other stats.
