Using Online Courses to Learn a Skill or Build Knowledge

Online learning is great, but not all courses are created equal. Many platforms allow anyone to upload a course, even if they are not experts, and there is no proper quality control in place. While platforms like Udemy have a lot of course options, quality can vary widely. Before enrolling, check reviews, instructor credentials, and course previews.

Have you ever taken a course that didn’t meet your expectations? What platforms do you trust most?

I use online courses to learn skills or build knowledge, choosing platforms like Coursera for data analysis or Udemy for digital marketing. I study at my pace, apply concepts, and boost my expertise effectively.

I have never bought a course, but if I did, I would take many aspects into account. For example, there are course sellers who offer a lot of free knowledge, whether on YouTube or wherever. For example, if I apply their free content and it gives me results, then I think it would be worth paying for their course. However, if not, it is not worth it since it would be an unnecessary waste of money.
