Threads Vs. X: Which is Good for Marketing

Recently, X was blocked in Brazil and which created general interest in Threads and a lot of people started using Threads. Now Threads has over 175 million users. X on the other had has 556 million users. According to reports, a lot of people are leaving X because of its owner. IN your experience, which could be a better platform for marketing in the future?

To be honest X is a piece of junk after Musk got his hands on it, I stopped using it altogether. And Threads .. I never even attempted using it. I am already using Facebook (mainly to connect with friends) and LinkedIn a little. Marketing wise, probably the best one is the platform you get a decent following on.

Well, Threads might be gaining users but it has yet to build itself as a trusted platform when comes to marketing. X can be better but the changes made under new ownership have been in controversy for a while and I believe it is losing its user base.

I think the most important thing is your follower count, if you have more followers on Threads compared to X, you will certainly find Threads to be better. I have less than 10 followers on Threads but I have over 10k followers on Twitter, I will certainly benefit form X

I don't use Threads even though I am active on Meta's other platforms. We cannot say Bout future, but currently, X is a better platform as it has more user base and have almost 3 times more users than Threads.

That's true, having more user base certainly puts X in a better position compared to Threads, however, if X continues to come into controversy and if Threads continue to be popular, there will be a day when Threads will outsmart X

Let's try to understand the usefulness of both media space to help us, most times people misinterpret some vital about this social media space.
Threads: Ideal for sharing in-depth content, such as blog posts, case studies, or company stories. Utilize Threads for thought leadership, education, and community-building.
X: Suitable for real-time engagement, news, updates, and participating in trending conversations. Leverage X for brand awareness, customer service, and timely promotions. For me my sincere and honest opinion is X, considering the feature like community virtual conversation, you get meet people across different region discussing together of which to me it excellent.

X has been around for longer, so I believe it can be a better channel for advertising than threads. Some people are still not on threads, me included. I don't even know how it looks like, lol.

Being around us for longer period of time, does the platform guarantee us success? Well, we cannot be sure of that but having a huge active user base certainly helps us. For instance, X is older then Tiktok but Tiktok as more users, so it is more easy to reach your audience through tiktok

Yeah if the debate was about X and TikTok, the later would have been the better option due to the larger user base. But Threads, not likely.

Threads is just a copycat platform that can't have the same traction as X. Say what you like about X but people still prefer where there is a bigger base and more authority. X is the premier micro blogging platform and Threads can only play catch up. X is better to market any products at all.

The X app simply has more users, and these users are very active, unlike what we have with Threads. I have an account on Threads, but I can't remember the last time that I logged in there, unlike the X app. I also bet this is true with more users of both social media platforms.

Threads would never be able to compete with the X platform for advertising. In terms of visibility, the X platform is more visible and would continue to be for a long time. And it is even easier for contents from X to appear on search engine results.

X is a terrible platform, but Threads isn't as popular. I wouldn't want to promote my business on a platform that is catered to those who discriminate against minorities so I still would go with Threads.

Well, I can agree about Threads not being very popular even though it managed to cross 100 millions users in a few days of launching. Most people who joined the bandwagon seem to have left the platform, but what makes you think X is terrible.
