Should You Buy Social Media Followers?

Years ago, I used a platform called FanSlave. The platform allows people to earn money by following social media pages. The platform also allows people to buy followers. One account I followed was Lady Gaga’s. Before discovering Lady Gaga through this site I even did not know who she was. Buying followers is common, but it damages credibility. Authentic audience growth leads to better engagement and marketing success.

So, the answer to the question should you buy social media followers is NO!

I agree I think it's a bad idea to buy social media followers. I thought about purchasing subscriptions for my Youtube channel back in the early 10's but I'm glad I never did that. I feel it would hurt your websites if you buy followers. You need legit sources and organic growth.

I would be against it. How many of those paid followers are going to convert into real visitors? Most of them are bots.

Buying social media followers would leave you with fake people who are not even interested in you and what you represent. It would be very difficult to get engagement from those kinds of followers. Your followers list would just swell without equivalent engagement.

Despite the fact that buying followers is not only against the rules of the platform where you are trying to build followers, and paid followers are either fake followers (who create accounts just to follow) or bots, a lot of people continue to buy followers.

Buying social media followers might seem tempting for quick growth, but it’s not a good long-term strategy. Purchased followers are often inactive and don’t engage with your content. Organic growth through genuine interactions and quality content is always better for authentic engagement.
