Instagram reels or Youtube reels?

In terms of effectiveness and reach, which one works best? I guess the users of each platform are different and you may need to use different strategies to market your reels on each platform, but which one has worked best for you? in which have you obtained the best results? Both are platforms with very high traffic, so I guess using both at the end of the day is the best.

Short videos on youtube are called shorts or yourube shorts :D
Which one you should use depends on where you have most following. But I think you should use both and share the same content

For my own business, which is locally restrictive in terms of market reach, Instagram reels work best for me. I would be able to reach more local people on Instagram than on YouTube. Many people in my market reach go to YouTube purely for entertainment but would rather engage with businesses on Instagram.

I get better performance through Instagram Reels rather than YouTube Reels. The algorithm system on Instagram shows preference to short engaging videos which has led to higher engagement levels than YouTube Reels.

YouTube has better reach because it has bigger audience. However, where you get maximum exposure also depends on your content (topic and quality) your existing audience and your target demography

When it comes to content distribution my preferred choice is YouTube videos. I like to create an extensive tutorial videos because YouTube users watch content of this length and it works well for my approach too. The monetization method is also very preferable.

I think both are good in different ways, but they give different results. Facebook is better for longer posts, while Instagram is best for pictures and short videos.

Both Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts are great for marketing, but it depends on your audience. Instagram Reels are ideal for visually engaging content and leveraging trends, especially for a younger audience. YouTube Shorts, on the other hand, are better for longer-lasting exposure and can drive traffic to your YouTube channel. I’d recommend focusing on where your target audience spends the most time and experimenting with both for wider reach.

I would recommend both and if you can also upload videos to TikTok, it is impossible that in this way you do not gain brutal traffic reaching an absurd amount of public and people, so I would not compare or divide, rather I would diversify between those 3 platforms.
