Going viral on social media means the content you share on social media gets a lot of views, comments, likes, and shares. Viral content are the content that gets extremely popular across multiple social sites. When the content becomes viral, it spreads rapidly and gets tons of traffic and engagements. How can you go viral on social media? What kind of content are likely to become viral.

There are several ways to go viral on social media. Start by specifying your target audience and ensuring that your posts speak to their interests and pain points. When someone comments, make a point of responding promptly.

Incorporate visually appealing images that will instantly capture your audience's attention and elicit emotional responses. Remember that most people like short and to-the-point content, therefore consider storytelling ways, as narratives often develop deeper relationships.

Use relevant hashtags and have a consistent posting schedule. A social media content scheduler can make this process much easier for you. Don't forget to experiment with various posting times to see what works best for your audience.

Promote your content across various social media platforms, and consider using paid advertising to boost your reach.

I cannot agree more to all of these tips you have shared here, especially about creating short and to the point content. I agree storytelling can bring a lot of engagements on your content. Hashtags are important to build visibility on social media but sadly most people tend to over use hashtags. They even use unrelated hashtags.

I think you need to create content that most people like to watch as well as share. You can get viral only when you can get a lot of views and only when your viewers share the content over and over.

The content that goes viral is the content that is shared over and over across multiple social media platforms. Therefore, the first criteria is to create share worthy content. The second criteria is to create content that a lot of people are interested in, or a topic that is trending online.

Man I always wonder what someone has to do to go viral. It’s not easy and you need to have a lot of luck really. Once it starts to gain a little traction, the algorithm sends it to more and more people making it easier to go viral. But really you need a lot of luck and something that’s either very funny or very disturbing.

you need to have a lot of luck really
I think this is true in some ways. Sometimes, you do a lot of things to make your content as good as you can yet, it fails and sometimes you don't work hard on it and it manages to attract a lot of views and engagements. Therefore, I think luck also plays a role in going viral. However, just like you said if you get into the loop once, it is easier for you to get better views and engagements on your other content

If youbwant to go viral, you will have to see the traits of viral content. Check what makes that particular content viral, also analyse other viral content. Make a list of characteristics of those content and implement the same characteristics on your content.

The funny thing about social media is that one can do all of these points mentioned and still not go viral. I've been there, so I know.
Its a funny place.

Well, I do agree that despite following every thing a lot of people cannot go viral, of if there was a sure shot way to go viral everyone would go viral. Most of the time people think they have done every thing but that's not the case, they are always missing something.

Two different variables make contents go viral. One is that the content has a very rare kind of valuable information that people find useful. They would share it within their friends list and it goes viral. Another variable is if the content is highly controversial and challenges social constructs. It would still go viral.

Follow popular social media accounts and also be on track with the happenings that are trending online. Follow wholesome topics and discussions and drop your genuine take. The more you do this the more visibility you will get.
