What makes a domain great? A domain will become great only when a brand is built around it. When you register a domain it is just a wor or words, it will be great when you build a website and built traffic. But I do understand if the domain has keywords, ot will have a good value.
Agreed, a domain becomes great when a brand is built around it. For instance google dot com is highly valuable domain because of the brand. However, a domain also becomes great when it has commercial value. Commercial value comes from the keyword used, the value of the word used, length, domain extension, etc.
You have really interesting point. I never thought in that way. Based on what you have said here now I am beginning to see how a senseless words manage to become highly valuable domain names.
However, you will have to understand building a brand for your domain or website is not an easy job. You first need to create unique service and product and then spend a lot of money in marketing it. With keyword rich domain, it will be lot easier.
