How to Develop a Strong Brand Identity from Scratch

Well, there is no denying that building a strong brand identity is crucial for any business, especially in competitive markets. The first step is to understand your brand’s core values, mission, and unique selling proposition. You need to define who you are, who you serve, and how you want to be perceived. What other things are important for brand building?

You don't build brand unless the product and services you are selling become hit. For instance, Amazon was just a simple name for a forest in South America, but Jeff Bezos built a business with that name and today it is one of the most valuable brands.

I start by defining my brand’s core values, mission, and target audience. Then, I create consistent visuals, logo, color scheme, and typography, and a unique voice. Finally, I maintain consistency across all touchpoints to build recognition.

Consistent visuals, clear messaging, emotional connection, audience trust, and authentic storytelling are key to brand building.

Sometimes less is more, one thinks that exaggerated, complex messages are usually the way, but no, sometimes clear and simple messages tend to reach people more.

I have been boycotting amazon lately and this is why I never sell any kind of product on that junk platform. There are various other platforms that tend to be better. Having said that, you can also build your own eCommerce store. This is what many online retailers have been doing as of now. They sell many different kinds of products such as accessories, perfumes, merchandise, and other products. They do not need to depend on garbage companies like amazon to sell products. Unfortunately, so many sellers depend on amazon when they can actually sell products on their own store. In fact, they can also sell products on local stores that might be available in their country.

But has it been that bad for you on Amazon? I'd like to read your experience about why it's been so bad for you on Amazon. I'm currently using it and it's working fine for me, so I have nothing to complain about Amazon. At least for now, everything's been great.

First thing is to build an identity for the brand that I want to build. And the next thing is to create an experience that every customer should have when they patronize my brand. I then standardize that experience for every aspect of my business and define it as a brand.
