Forums, discussion boards, or community

Do you call it a forum, a Discussion board or a community? Is there a difference in what a forum is and what a discussion board, or what a community is for that matter? Or do you think these are all same thing and the only difference is the word used to describe them?

I do not think what words or terms you use, they are all same. Forums are discussion boards and discussion boards are community. I like to use the word community instead of forums or discussion boards.

I call a forum a community as I think it’s the best way to define one.

A discussion board is a good term to use as well as a forum is also a discussion board.

I think that's just preferences in terms of naming your community, a forum and discussion forum is basically the same, since a forum is always to discuss topics and seek opinions outside of your own and debate that of others.
