You can create three different kinds of content,
Fully original
Partially original
Repurposed
How does search engines teat these content based on their originally? How do human users engage with content based on their originality.
According various internet sources, 100 percent original content always perform well either with search engine algorithm or human users of all type of content, repurpose content has lesser engagement rate. Therefore, your focus should be always on creating original content. If you want to repurpose, that's fine but see how they perform on multiple platforms.

The engagement rate of content based on originality tends to be higher because unique content often stands out and captures attention. When content is fresh, creative, or offers a new perspective, people are more likely to engage with it through likes, comments, or shares. Original content also tends to foster a stronger connection with audiences, as it feels more personal and relatable. However, it’s important to also consider consistency and quality, as these factors contribute significantly to maintaining long-term engagement.

From my experience, content with high originality tends to get better engagement, people notice fresh ideas. Audiences scroll past generic stuff but pause when something feels new or relatable. Authentic stories, unique formats, or original takes spark curiosity, shares, and discussions much more than copied trends.

Original content always has value but the value also depends on the content quality. Original but poorly written content does not convert or get any engagement. Originality is just one criteria for the content, you need to follow other criteria as well such as well written, informative, unique, etc.
