Are Third-Party Lab Tests a Must for Supplements?

Thinking of selling supplements, but unsure if I really need lab testing done.
Do you pay for third-party testing? How do you build trust without it?

Claims made by the manufacturer are not trusted as they have vested interest, therefore, all supplements need independent studies to prove those claims.

The same as the previous comment told you, as one cannot trust the claims made by the manufacturer because they can obviously be manipulated, one must clearly go to some study, even if it is independent, to prove these claims and the veracity of said claims, otherwise it makes no sense since they are useless and will not gain anyone's trust.
