Building Email List By Giving Away Free Products or Services

One of the easiest ways to build an email list is by giving away free products and services for email exchange. People are easily attracted towards the word "free." They might not care if the product actually benefit, they will grab it as long as it is being given for free. Have you tried this method to build your email subscribers?

What will happen once they get free product? Will they continue to be your subscribers and regularly check your emails? I doubt that this is going to happen

If they liked the free product, and if you tell them that they will get more in the future than they will continue to subscribe. If your marketing emails contain valuable information and if they like it, they will continue to subscribe even when you stop free products.

Many email marketers usually use this technique and I must say that this is a very effective technique. Recently, there was a trend of offering free eBooks to readers. They were offered such eBook in exchange of signing up for the mailing list. This is not a new trend. Even during the mid 2000s era, such email marketing techniques were used by many marketers to promote emails in an effective manner.

For people to know something is good, they must first experience whether the product is good or not, if possible. And what better way to give away a free product so these people can experience it? So, offering a free "trial" before offering the official product is always an excellent marketing strategy.
