What is the impact of URL structure on SEO?

Yes, URL structure helps in search engine optimization. Just like your title, tags and meta description, search engine algorithm also reads the keywords used in your URL to understand what your content is all about.

As you have been told in the previous comment, it is very important, since a well-optimized URL with SEO work will make the website much easier to search and find, this translates into having more traffic and, logically, more users or clients.

A clean, descriptive URL structure improves SEO by helping search engines and users understand your content. When your URLs include relevant keywords—like example.com/physical-therapy-back-pain—they boost click-through rates and rankings. Avoid long strings, symbols, or random numbers. You should keep URLs short, use hyphens (not underscores), and match the page’s title or main keyword.

It's true, I didn't know about that for a long time and a website I've had for a long time didn't have many visits at the beginning because of this very thing. I configured this correctly and wow! It has definitely made a big change in the site. From then on, I have only gained a lot of traffic and it hasn't stopped. Although there have been months when it has gone down a little, the vast majority of months have remained the same or have gone up.
