eBook marketshare growing day by day. If you are a writer, you can write and publish ebooks to make money, if you cannot write you can pay someone to write ebooks for you. However, writing is just the first step, you need to publish them and then market them to generate sales. There are multiple platforms to publish ebooks. You can try Amazon, Lulu, Barnes and Nobles, Smashwords, etc. If you have never published ebooks you might be wondering about the best platform to publish and sell ebooks. Based on my experience, I can say Amazon is the best, it has bigger marketshare and pays you 70 percent royalty .

You can never go wrong with Amazon as a publisher. Though it takes time, effort and patience to be able to generate tangible sales, but in the end it should be worth it.

I think Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing is good for its massive audience. I hear Gumroad and Payhip offer direct sales with better profit margins.

Amazon is definitely the number one place to publish your ebooks. Remember Amazon started out as a book store! Many people who read ebooks do so on a Kindle, or heck even on their phones now days and they've been using Amazon more than any other platform. Though you should try and publish your ebooks on many different platforms, Google Play is another great platform to publish your ebooks.

The best platform to sell ebooks would be dependent on the target audience of the ebook. If it is meant to serve a local audience, you host it on local ebook platforms. We have a popular one called Okada books in my country. You can also sell ebooks easily on forums.

Based on general knowledge, popular platforms for selling ebooks include Amazon due to its vast reach, Google Play Books for Android users, and Apple Books for iOS users. Other options like Kobo and Payhip also offer alternatives with varying features and reach.

Play Store and App store can certainly be a good platform to distribute your ebooks but I believe traditional platform like Amazon or Barnes and Nobes are far better platform. Kobo and Payhip might be good but I am not sure if these platforms have a lot of buyers.
