It's one thing to be able to design a logo, it is another to be able to design an effective logo. From your personal experience, what are the key elements when it comes to creating an effective logo.

I am not a pro, but I'd say that the appropriate use of colours can go a long way in determining whether a logo is effective or not. The right color blends can prove appealing, while a misuse of it can scream substandard.

MacDonald has a simple logo where as Starbucks has someone complicated logo. You never know which one will actually work until you start promoting. If you keep it simple, it might not be recognizable due to its simplicity, and if you keep it complex, people might find it ugly.

There are multiple ways to greater logos, you can use your company initials, you can use images, you can use geometrical shapes, etc. However, what you use should also reflect to your target audience
