Is Magento a good ecommerce platform?

This is another of the ecommerce platforms that I have heard so much about, have you used it? Can you recommend it? Some of its functionalities are, an inventory connected to your warehouse and physical stores, integration to other ecommerce such as Amazon or eBay, content management and creation of landing pages, among many others, it seems a very good platform at first glance, what do you think?

I don't know anything about Magento from personal experience but I think it is open source ecommerce platform wgich makes it a cheaper alternative to premium platform
