How important is networking in offline marketing?

How can networking and building personal relationships contribute to the success of an offline marketing strategy? Should I prioritize attending trade shows, industry events, or local business meetings for networking?

Networking is a form of marketing. When you network, you have an opportunity to introduce your products and services to another person, if you can get the person interested, you can have one more customer or associate.

I've had clients who got good traction from attending tradeshows. Seemed to work well in the finance niche. In my case, a lot of the business comes from referrals and, since I live in a pretty remote area, I never considered this type of marketing. To be honest, I am not really too excited about going to fancy meetings either

These days you do not have to meet personally for networking, you can leverage social media for building a network. You can even use your online networking for offline marketing. You can use online platforms to improve your offline marketing.
