Creating Subforums: When and How to Expand Your Forum Categories

Subforums allow better organization but can also dilute activity if overdone. Sometimes these subgroups might not even have any activitiy. How do you decide when it’s time to introduce new categories? Have you sought user feedback before making such changes? How do you keep categories both organized and active.

Sometimes it can be better just to create prefixes for topics rather than creating a sub forums. If you think the topics can garner a lot of discussions, you can try creating sub forums. But as far as I am concerned, I always try to keep it small
