Have been having issues with some of my designs I needed to print, it seems the machine is not able to give back the exact color, and some persons said the file I save my work with also has an effect on the end results. What are the best files used in saving jobs for printing?

I think PDF is the best for print-ready files as it preserves layout, fonts, and vector graphics. TIFF can also be the best for high-quality images with lossless compression. JEPEG is good as long as it has 300 DPI or higher
